Why Exercise and Being Outside Are My Daily Refresh
As a financial advisor, my job often requires strong focus, strategy, and long hours. To keep things balanced, I’ve learned that a daily refresh is important. The best way to get this is by getting outside and letting nature help me relax. For me, exercise and nature go hand in hand. Whether it’s walking through a forest, paddling on a calm lake, or just taking a long walk to clear my mind, these times in nature are key for my mental clarity and overall wellness. Growing up in New Brunswick, I had some of Canada’s most beautiful places right in my backyard. But like many, I didn’t always notice what was around me. It was so easy to get busy with work and daily tasks and miss enjoying being outside. Things changed when I started caring more about fitness. At first, I went to the gym often, but soon, I realized exercising inside wasn’t for me. I missed fresh air, open spaces, and the challenge of rough paths.
